Suelo Rojo

Suelo Rojo is a mixed musical work for the invented instrument the Siren Organ  made by Productions Totem Contemporain. It was born from a vision of the physical presence of the body, traversed and inhabited by breath. The composition was built around a persistent reflection on time — time that passes, that crumbles, and that marks our bodies.

I would like to thank Jean-François Laporte for all these years of sonic exploration, and Julie Delisle for her magnificent improvisations on flute and piccolo that brought my composition to life. I would also like to thank Diane Daher for her voice and breath, which were the sonic genesis of the work, and as always, for her attentive listening.
